| The music of Dirty Americans conveys a broad spectrum of sounds within the realm of Rock. From the band's more melodic upbeat songs such as "Burn You Down", to the laid back groove of "Trip To The Moon" it is apparent to the listener that Dirty Americans embody the true essence of what it means to be a Detroit Rock band. According to Freedom, "The Dirty Americans was created in the wake of a long and trying quest to succeed and survive, musically and emotionally. Lyrically, that is the core of what our songs are written about.
Musically, we left our love of hip-hop styled vocals and electronic flavors behind and focused on just being a fuckin' rock band again. [The Dirty Americans music has] A ton more melodies, harmonies, and lots of hooks. |

| The group has worked diligently to produce a 'Down Home Scrap' sound that its fans can depend on. It has been entertaining the Ann Arbor/Detroit area for over two years. The members' versatile live stage performances have carried them through a variety of listening audiences including: live television and radio shows, art gatherings, benefit appearances, night clubs, bars, coffee shops, and private parties. The thick pounding tom toms, driving infectious bass lines, and random ambient keyboard crafting combine with an array of cosmic guitar leads and rusty guitar rhythms that allow the crowd to focus on the particularly characteristic vocal duo melodies. This intellectual ambience is what captivates the audience with a sense of belonging. |

| Darian Counts has been on the music scene since the early 80's. his first taste of success came form the and "rockcandy' in 1986.. Throughout the 90's Darian has been in various types bands from chain reaction(blues 'jazz) to Rude impulse(death metal). From 1993-1997 Darian took some time off to pursue financial gains. 1997 with financial gain illuding him Darian decieded to resume his musical persuits. In 1999 darian joined forces with 69 Octane. It wasn't long before they were opening for 80's supergroups like Quiet Riot and Suicidal Tendencies. In 2001 Darian Joined Imagicide. Throuout the last 10 years darain has continued to write for his solo project. He has recently finished work on his new single "coup de ville".
