Description:
Old-school punk.
These Michigan hardcore pioneers are to Punk Rock, what Spinal Tap is to Heavy Metal: Basement noise of the Ozone Family.

|
History:
This abominable band was conceived near the end of 1979 (Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan).
Inspired by the urban legend of Namtons, it came in and out of remission during the 1980s. Finally, this festering copulation of tracks has been deposited on CD! and has thrust itself upon the world via the internet!
Degenerates were: Scott Boman (Vocals & noise makers), John Butterfield (Bass & Vocals), Robin Corley (Guitar & vocals), Robert Vansiles (Drums), as well as Guest Artists: Dana Wills (Drums) & John Collins (upright Bass).
The Degenerates upright bass player, John Collins also recorded with Spanking Bozo.
Scott Boman went on to sing for the Kalamazoo hardcore band, Spite.
