History:
Violet Skin is a four-piece indie rock band from Ferndale, Michigan formed in October of 1999 by singer/guitarist, Katie Janness. Musically, Violet Skin combines crunchy rhythms with melodic overtones; a flowing mixture of punk and pop. Violet Skin?s song structures both celebrate and deviate from conventional rock styles, keeping audience members in suspense about what they might hear next. A well-balanced and diverse line up, each member of Violet Skin operates on a broad continuum of experience, ability, and creativity.
