Description:
3 piece hard rock band from the Detroit area
History:
Overthrow dates back from 1993 when two friends decided to start a garage band. After seven years of bloody fingers, broken strings, smashed cymbals & a revolving door of partiers, posers & slackers, Overthrow has evolved into one of Detroit's leading power-rock bands. A rigorous schedule of constant writing, recording & touring has tightened the music, refined the show & transformed four talented individuals into one incredible hard rock band. Hours of original music, a diverse selection of covers & their trademark wall of sound, make Overthrow's live show an ever changing assault on the eyes & ears. Overthrow is currently in post-production of their first full length multi-media CD Urban Warfare. It will include video segments synched up to several tracks, candid stills, interviews, animated computer icons, screen savers, & links to some of Overthrow's favorite web sites. In addition to the current project, a single on Epitaph magazines "No Frills Compilation" fall 1999 issue, several cassette ep demos & an ancient indie CD release are still floating around from the early days.
