Five piece melodic metal / emocore / post punk band from Ann Arbor

History:
Deity formed in the summer of 1998 in Ann Arbor. Josh-18, Ben-24, and Brendan-18, played around with several bass players and several singers before "stealing" Shiva-19 and Alain-19 in from local bands Phluid Philosophy and SteadyState. Since the Winter of 1999, Deity has been performing throughout the Southeastern Michigan scene, playing with other notable Michigan Acts such as Taproot, Forge, Arizing, Too Many Gods, 60 Second Crush, and Gangster Fun.
