History:
"VALERIE" as a group formed in 1998 and includes six great musicians each with their own influences, background, and story to tell. Their members individually have toured five continents, taught music, and have had a #4 song on the R&B Billboard charts. Together their influences range from Jefferson Airplane to Frank Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Little Feat, Rush and Alanis Morrisette. As a result they create a special sound that combines elements of R&B, rock, pop, blues, jazz, and country. This group has come a long way in a very short time. Since May of 1999, they have recorded and released a self titled debut CD, been invited to perform at music industry showcases, and have enjoyed airplay on commercial and college radio stations all over the U.S. Their song “Change Things” was chosen to be included on a compilation CD benefiting the american Red Cross to aid tornado victims in Oklahoma City. They have also held top forty positions on many internet music sites including being ranked in the “Top 10 CD’s” at MP3.com, with CD’s sold all over the world.
