History:
Radium emerged from a long period of experimentation as vocalist Tabatha Predovich worked in several projects that took her from Minneapolis to London and eventually, Detroit. The seeds of Radium were planted in England with an ethereal pop band called Elysium. The music was edgy and evocative, affording Tabatha the opportunity to explore her own distinct musical identity. Wanting to expand on this, she soon embarked on a new project with a more intense and aggressive sound. She deemed the new group "Radium". Sadly, the first incarnation of Radium disintegrated within a year of its debut. However, she quickly enlisted talents of guitarist Rich Patterson (of Leadfoot) and bassist Dave Krofchok (formerly Discipline keyboardist and current Band X drummer) to resurrect the band and play the remaining scheduled shows. She soon discovered that the new band sounded and performed better than ever. A few months later, seasoned drummer David Below (previously of Ann Arbor's India Green and Rudimental Percussion instructor of 11 years) took over drum duties and completed the lineup.
