History:
Mossy Twyne originated in the late fall of 1999. A group of neighborhood musicians gathered together and played as a jam band. Acoustic guitars, congas, djembes, harmonicas, and many different percussion instruments were used. After jamming for a month or so, a group within the group organized an official line-up and began creating a sound. The band originally called themselves "Northern Tier". The summer of 2001 saw a change in direction and a new name....."Mossy Twyne". Guitarist and vocalist, Allen Gapske began creating original material,
developing a band sound. Sherry Jane Gapske brought her hand drumming experiences from drum circles to the band and she also handles vocals and
harmonica. Casual Rose started on rhythm guitar, then left the band, then returned in 2002 as bassist. Stan Zuck joined in the summer of 2000 and
added ocarina, flutes, fiddle and keys alongs with vocals.. Don Fink had played in some area bands for a while and joined 'Twyne in 2001. We are
