History:
Want to know about BoXHeaD, eh? With the release of Bake back in 1998, an 18 song CD, BoXHeaD's following has continued to expand at an exponential rate (with much of this following being anchored in the Oakland County, Michigan area). The music, however, has not been limited to Michigan. BoXHeaD has received radio/media support via Pennsylvania, New York, and Illinois, including live shows and radio broadcasts. Bake is a compilation of abrasive guitars, emotionally full vocals with catchy lyrics, and hard-hitting percussion. The music is aggressive and mentally stimulating, inspired by everyday life and daydreaming. Anyone can connect with its lyrical rhythms and style. The CD has its softer side, wrapped up in 12-string acoustic sweetness. A few of the tracks on Bake are heart-felt tributes and apologies inspired by the untimely death of the founding member's only brother in 1995. BoXHeaD was formed in 1995.
